Best Home Theater Systems
Listen to the article...
Everybody wants to have a custom home theatre system. This is largely because, for most of us, the home movie experience is extremely personal. We all want to recreate the experience we have at the actual movie theatre. For some of us though, we want the sound to be better. Some people prefer a better picture than what they will get on a projector screen. If you are able to create a home theatre that fulfills all of your needs, you may end up preferring to watch movies at home!
So how do you build a custom home theatre that meets all of your needs? First, let's break down the components that work together to form the overall system.
Audio
For a custom home theatre, the audio system you choose is what takes you from "watching videos" to a "theatre experience." When you have the right audio system, you can set up your theatre to give you the same experience you have at a regular movie theatre. You can have surround sound, you can have the same bass levels, and you can create any kind of audio experience you want!
To build your audio system, you will need to purchase a receiver (if surround sound is important make sure that the receiver is built to handle the different audio signals), at least four speakers and enough wiring to make sure that you can connect the speakers to the signal receiver. There are wireless home audio systems now, but you will need special equipment to run those.
Home Theater How To
Video
When it comes to the video of your custom home theatre, you have so many options; your head will feel like it is spinning. You can purchase a "regular" television, a flat screen television, a plasma television, a rear projection television, a front projection television or even one of the fancy projectors that will project your video source onto any flat surface (this way you can have an almost movie sized picture, right in your own home). For many people, the video decision will be based largely upon their budget and the amount of space they have available. Huge screens can take up a lot of room and are often very expensive.
Of course, eventually you will have to decide what kind of video playing device you want-the regular DVD players, High Definition DVDs, Blue Ray DVDs, etc. Many people opt for a multiple DVD changer, which comes in very handy for marathon movie viewing sessions.
There is no doubt that custom home theatre systems are not cheap. This is why it is important to do some research and make sure to shop around for the best bargains. It is never a good idea to buy the first system that you find. Even when you opt for the most inexpensive system you can find, the cost will probably raise your eyebrows. For the home theatre enthusiast, however, they are more than worth the investment. With the cost of movie tickets and snacks, you could end up recouping your investment in no time!
